I know what the answer is to this but I can't figure out the steps, please help: 4=1.12^x How do you get x? (Answer x=12.2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The operation that undoes exponential functions is taking the log of both sides. So: \[\log_{1.12}4=x \] and plug that into a calculator. The log (base n) undoes the exponential n ^ x so you can get whatever x is.
