x^2=7x^2 + 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The following is my reckoning: x^2=7x^2 + 1 7x^2 + 1 = x^2 7x^2 - x^2 + 1 = 0 6x^2 + 1 = 0 6x^2 = -1 x = √(-1/6) QED: The problem does not have a real solution. I cannot ascertain that this is correct, and would be delighted to be proven wrong.

I think it is root 1/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ie -6x^2=1.So x^2 =1/6.then x= root of 1/6
