does maltose have higher water concentration gradient than water... what happens in a chemiosmosis between them?

water concentration gradient,simply put is the difference in water concentration. Maltose solution has less water than water. Osmosis is the movement of water over a partially permeable membrane. Thus, water will go from the higher concentration to the lower. i.e. water to maltose sol.
