factor 64-125w^3

Hint: What is the cube root of 64 and what is the cube root of 125? Find these and you can easily solve the equation.

I know its a cube...for some reason, Im getting the signs wrong. I came up with (-5w-4)(25w^2-10w-16).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write this as -125(w^3-4^3/5^3). you are on the right track! It is easier to do this by factoring out the constant multiplier of the leading coefficient. Keep working because you almost have it.

FINALLY! I actually had this answer once....but when checking my work, did the math wrong! (-5w+4)(25w^2+20w+16)
