Why does tear come when we try to think something about emotions or we get emotional?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

its a sort of natural emotional pain killer i'd say

mathslover (mathslover):

mathslover (mathslover):

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

OpenStudy (dls):

there is a hormone..specifically adrenocorticotropic hormone(generally related with stress feelings, emotion and stuff)...This, paired with increased mucosal secretion during crying, could lead to a theory that crying is a mechanism developed in humans to dispose of this stress hormone when levels grow too high.
