How do i find the equasion of the tangent line to a function at a given point?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the function f(x) at point x0 1. find the slope - m - of the tangent line the slope will be the derivative of f(x) at x0 : m = f'(x0) 2. now we have a slope and since we can find f(x0) [the value of the function at that point] we can construct our tangent line equation : y = f(x0) + m(x-x0)
