OpenStudy (hba):

Can I Refer Openstudy.com in my Uni Application Form ?

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

As a last resort, yes. (Unless it really demonstrates your problem-solving abilities... then maybe they will consider it)

OpenStudy (hba):

It Says..Please describe your commitment to any past or present community or cultural responsibilities:

@mattfeury

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

Typically you wouldn't want to refer to internet communities, but you can, yes.

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

I'll quote myself from a similar question: "You are welcome to reference your OpenStudy username and profile on an application. In fact, we encourage it! We don't have anything else at the moment to prove yr activity on OpenStudy, but we may offer such a thing very, very soon ;)" So yea, if you are active and proud of your involvement on the site, I would definitely feel free to show it off on college applications.

OpenStudy (hba):

If They Message You And Ask You About This Then What Will You Rep-up ?

OpenStudy (hba):

Because I wrote On My Application that 'Helping Students At Openstudy.com"

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

We can't verify yr involvement anymore than yr profile can.

OpenStudy (hba):

You Mean That You Are Not Going To Reply Them ?

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

We may reply to them, but in purely objective fashion regarding yr involvement on the site. There's no way that we can tell them anything about you as a person. Think of it less as a reference, and more of an online profile.

OpenStudy (hba):

Well I Am Only Talking About My Involvement On Os,Will It Be Positive :)

OpenStudy (hba):

What-so-ever I am putting it On My Application :D

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

It will not be positive, nor will it be negative. It will be objective. We can say for certain that a) this is one of our users, b) here are some questions they've answered, and c) here are some stats about their involvement on the site. They will interpret those facts as either positive or negative, not us. Nonetheless, I recommend you share yr profile if you're proud of it :)

OpenStudy (hba):

Well I Am Proud Of Being A Part Of The Os Family And I Am Gonna Do As You Say ;) Thanks Alot For Helping Me Out With This Matt :D

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

As a personal aside, if you're sending your profile to colleges, I would recommending changing your 'About Me' and potentially adding a real name/school. You shouldn't do that if you feel uncomfortable sharing that info, but, in my humble opinion, it will look better and more legitimate from the college's perspective.

OpenStudy (hba):

Omg,Thanks Alot Matt :D

I Think Now It Is Fine
