OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u were drilling into a layer containing petroleum, natural gas, and water, which substance would be first?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the one with least density

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i think gas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i thought but then it would be water too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, water is the most dense thing among the things you have mentioned

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought oil and petroulium were denser than water since u have to dig really deep to find it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

digging deeper is because of availability of oil, you must have seen that oil always resides at the surface of water

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ya i forgot about that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it's gas first , then oil and then water :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thank u
