solve 7+6x=2(10+3x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distribute your 2 through your set of parenthesis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7+6x=20+6x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you figure out what x is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you subtract 6x from both sides which leaves you with 0x. having the equation say 7=20. since 7 can never =20 your problem has no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

yep,,no real solutions.. since the 2 lines are parallel to each other.. though x=infinity may be consider a solution (assuming lines intersect at infinity),,but infinity is not a real no.

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

may be considered as a solution *
