Solve the quadratic equation by completing the square. –3x^2 + 9x = 1 Could someone please give me the steps and an answer, please? I don't really understand the whole concept of this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply each term by term and combine like terms to get: 3x*x² + 3x*-9x + 3x*2 + x² - 9x + 2 ==> 3x³ - 27x² + 6x + x² - 9x + 2 ==> 3x³ - 26x² - 3x + 2
