I need to heat up a beaker, but I don't have a hot plate is there anything I can use instead? An electric griddle? or what?

I'm doing a biology lab and I have to put hydrogen peroxide on a potato and then heat it up on a hot plate and see what happens yet I don't have a hot plate and I need something in place of it.

Bunson Burner perhaps, if you move the beaker back/forth for a gentle heating, otherwise boiling water bath may work as well

How hot do you need to get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need: 1- a thermometer 2- boiling water "use a kettle or heat the water" 3- cold water "ice cubes" on a beaker add the hot water and balance it with the cold water while monitoring the temperature. till you reach the desired temperature you aim for.
