Solve using the addition method. What is the y-value of the solution to the system? 2x – 3y = -1 3x + 4y = 24 A. 4 B.3 C. 2 D. none of the above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First since we want the y-value we have to get rid of the x value. Secondly, we need to find the common factor of 2x and 3x which is 6x. now we need to times the top equation by 3 to get 6x and the bottom equation by 2 to get also 6x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

show me the two equations you get, they both must start with 6x.
