It is based on MIT OCW so we would find some strange instructions here. But oh look, the Machine told us to do exercise 1.1 to 1.4; excercise 1.0 is not included. To install python, use link from The Machine's email (subject: "A week to go") or simply go to http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.6.6/
