show that function cos is continous on real number

I am not sure that this is a proof. But for the function cos(x) to be "continuous on the real" means that for any real number you put into the function it produces a real number. On the spreadsheet, you can see that cos(x) for REAL numbers produces... real numbers, for Complex numbers, is undefined :)
