Which is a solution of the inequality? p + 4 – 2(p – 10) > 0 A. 29 B. 26 C. 24 D. 22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would go with c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did c the last time and got it wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets try simplifying p + 4 – 2(p – 10) > 0 first distribute p +4 -2p +20 > 0 combine like terms -p+24 > 0 bring 24 to other side -p > -24 divide by -1 (remember to flip the sign when dividing by negative!) p < 24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i put c down the first time on the exam and they mark it as wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see, it's not C because the solution says p <24, 24 is not < than 24 only D is less, tricky question!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooh thanks
