Well, I'm not not really sure what your teacher wants as far as "facts" are concerned. I mean, the question itself isn't really a black or white issue. If your teacher means "use specifics from the story itself..." then you should be more specific. "Pahom does X and Y and this results in Z" (and thus supports your thesis statement).

Sorry if that's vague. If you can, I would advise asking your teacher for more clarification on exactly what kind of facts s/he wants.
