does anyone have crossword puzzle answers to chapter 10 sandvigbiology.com

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do. As a matter of fact, I just spent the last 2 hours sorting out all the answers. For fun, believe it or not. I don't know who your teacher is, but these crossword puzzles are a pain in the butt. Your teacher even threw in a totally irrelevant math question. For no apparent reason other than to take up space. That's 19 Across. And the answer is "eight." So, how about this? You can fill out all the ones you think you know. If you think you know an answer, give me the crossword clue, along with your answer, and I'll crosscheck it with my crossword puzzle, for you. And if there's one you can't figure out, give me the crossword clue, and I'll give you a hint.

thanks just having trouble w 10, 12, 13, and 25 across plus 3 down

Hey, those are all the ones I had trouble with! ~~~~~~~~~~~ 13 Across was something about the gene in which a mutation is found in a majority of cancer patients. Take a look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P53 I think that the crossword puzzle wanted us to write it as "gene p53." It fits that way. That's why I hate crosswords. Not only do we have to figure out the answer, but we have to figure out how they want us to actually write it. ~~~~~~~~~~ 12 Across was talking about the process that limits the size of cells. I figured that 12 Across is two words. The first word starts with D, and it is one of the basic ways that substances get in and out of cells. The second word is "time." I thought it was "rate." But "time" is the only word that seems to fit. ~~~~~~~~~~~ 10 Across is when the cell is at its largest. You know how Interphase (right before mitosis) is divided into three parts? G1 phase, S phase, and G2 phase. I figured that the answer is one of those. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 25 Across talks about the reason for how cells know when to stop dividing. Take a look at this article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19364817 The answer is two words, right? I figured that the first word starts with D, and the second word starts with i. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3 Down talks about particles that damage DNA. Take a look at this article: http://www.healthchecksystems.com/antioxid.htm The answer is two words. I figured that the first word starts with F, and the second word starts with R.
