Parth (parthkohli):

What is the difference between\[\rm {d \over dx}\left[ blah\right]\]and\[\rm{d \over dx} (blah)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

None, I presume? I don't think brackets/parentheses mean different things in this scenario. Unless you're somehow differentiating matrices 0_o.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why do you ask?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

or unless you mean the greatest integer value of blah...but if blah is an integer, the derivative of the blah and the derivative of the greatest integer of blah would just both be 0....

Parth (parthkohli):

I ask so because of this: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Calculus/Implicit_Differentiation
