Anyone an expert at Crosswords???HELP ME!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. Which ones do you think you know already? Let's start there.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

okay

OpenStudy (ammarah):

ummm

OpenStudy (ammarah):

lemme see

OpenStudy (ammarah):

number 1 is it microtubules?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

number 2 down is chromatid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep. That's right.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

okay

OpenStudy (ammarah):

wait i meant across not down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hoooold on....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no 2 across.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

i mean 4 across

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. THAT's right.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

i accidently said 2 across

OpenStudy (ammarah):

okay

OpenStudy (ammarah):

5 down is eukaryotes?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

noo

OpenStudy (ammarah):

it doesnt fit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no 5 down.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

ACROSS

OpenStudy (ammarah):

im so sorry, dont know why i keep saying DOWN!!!

OpenStudy (ammarah):

5 down?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

no

OpenStudy (ammarah):

it doesnt fit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol. 5 across....I'll give you a hint. What do we call it when two people make babies?!

OpenStudy (ammarah):

yeah

OpenStudy (ammarah):

5 across right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. Because there is no 5 down. lol

OpenStudy (ammarah):

lol

OpenStudy (ammarah):

?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

noo its reproduction

OpenStudy (ammarah):

nooo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Organisms doesn't fit into 5 across.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

it doesnt fit

OpenStudy (ammarah):

wuts 7? i dont get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 across? You know that circular point, in the middle of the X shape of a chromosome? It's called the "centromere."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't ask us. Ask the crossword puzzle. Because mitosis in unicellular organisms DOES result in another organism. But that's not what the crossword puzzle wants.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

wut r u guys talking about?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://img.tfd.com/dorland/arm_chromosome.jpg Here's 7 across.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We were just talking about 5 across, don't worry. Go on.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

cool thanks

OpenStudy (ammarah):

number 8 down is...

OpenStudy (ammarah):

i mean 9 across!!

OpenStudy (ammarah):

interphase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep!

OpenStudy (ammarah):

ok next one is

OpenStudy (ammarah):

spindle?? im just guessing i dont know..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You mean 18 down?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Spindle" is part of the answer in 2 down. Sorry, I know you didn't mean 18 down, by the way.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

10 across

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I don't know yet, so I'm skipping over it for now.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me know about which ones you get, so that I can write them own. I'm writing down all the ones I know, right now, and researching the ones I don't know.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

okay number 19 across is" three"?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

number 23 across is" volume"

OpenStudy (ammarah):

8 down is "increases"

OpenStudy (ammarah):

number 11 down is cell division

OpenStudy (anonymous):

19 across isn't three. It's actually "eight." Random math question that doesn't belong in the puzzle.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

oh lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

23 across is volume, yes.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

and number 11 is cell division

OpenStudy (ammarah):

8 down is increases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8 down could be "increases." It makes sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and 11 down, i agree. cell division.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

did u find anything?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I did. Did you get 1 across? It's "chromosome." 24 across is "metastasize." That's when a cancer spreads to other parts of the body. 25 across is "density inhibition." That's how cells know when to stop dividing. Did you get 2 down? Those stringy things that pull the chromatids apart are called "spindle fibers."

OpenStudy (ammarah):

i thought 1 across was microtubules

OpenStudy (ammarah):

u said it was

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did I? I must have read your reply wrong, I'm sorry. The word "chromosome" literally means "colored bodies."

OpenStudy (ammarah):

oh then whats 1 down?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That'd be "cyclin."

OpenStudy (ammarah):

okay

OpenStudy (ammarah):

ok well it's almost 4:00....too sleepy...please if u do find the rest tell mee on here....r u free tomorrow too??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll probably be on tomorrow. I'm gonna keep working on it, and do what I can for now.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

Thankyou!!!! I really appreciate you helping me...thankyou again(:

OpenStudy (ammarah):

do u know how to block anyone coming into my question?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

do i press closed questions or what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could close the question. If you leave it open, you might get help from someone else sooner.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

ok never mind im changing my name to something else ok?? Someone keeps bothering me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhkay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You know, you can block people.

OpenStudy (ammarah):

yeah....

OpenStudy (ammarah):

i cant find him anymore though

OpenStudy (ammarah):

just message me the answers ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah okay.
