Parth (parthkohli):

Why is \(\rm \large x\) mostly used as a variable?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x marks the spot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i think because of its commoness, also in graphs, cartesian plane.so we can manipulate x as a point in plane but a,or b can be tricky if you desire a slid solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

variable,x changes we can obseve y

Parth (parthkohli):

So you are saying that \(\large \rm x\) is used often because it is used often?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i am saying using x in algebra can help us solve problems in algebra with function ,linear programming ,calculus because they already use x and f(x) as a function, wich defines a plane
