OpenStudy (anonymous):

When an enzyme is heated it denatures the enzyme. but does it stop the reaction the enzyme was speeding up? or does the reaction still take place but just at a slow pace?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes if the temperature is too low the particles will begin to move slowly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the temperature continues and gets way too low, then reactions will not occur at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if the enzyme doesnt work the reaction will or will not take place?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the enzyme does not work then the reaction will not take place unless you are looking for it at a specific temperature. For example if its too low, does not take place, if its high then you have a reaction that is taking place

thank youu!
