Just use the half-square-share method.

Step 2: Take half-square-share of the middle (linear) term, which in this case is 6. Half of 6 is 3 and 3 squared is 9. Add 9 to both sides (in the spaces).

Step 4: Factor the left side of the equation and simplify the right side.

(x+3)^2=0

Step 5: Take the square root of both sides, solve for x.
