is platinum an enzyme? and how is a catalyst like platinum different from an enzyme? HELP

OpenStudy (aaronq):

platinum is not an enzyme but it can function as a catalyst. an enzyme is a protein which creates a microenvironment in favour to lower the activation energy of a certain reaction, while platinum basically "holds" molecules in place
