How do I find the displacement and average velocity during the first 5 seconds, of a particle that moves along a line given by the function s(t) = 2t^3 - 5t - 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

average velocity is distance travelled over time elapsed. the time is 5, the "displacement' is whatever you get when \(t=5\) since you are starting at \(t=0\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well that is wrong, sorry. it is \[\frac{s(5)-s(0)}{5}\] i made a mistake
