a poly has a specific form:\[P(x)=c_o+c_1x+c_2x^2+c_3x^3+...+c_ix^i+...\]
where all the exponentr are positive integer values

if all the exponents are positive integers, then it is a poly. if you have fractions or negatives as exponents then it is not a poly
