How to find the absolute extrema of the function: f(x) = 3 - x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the closed interval [-1, 2] f'(x) = -1 ==> no critical numbers. but what next??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the function values at the boundaries.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(2) = 1 f(-1) = 4 only 1 min and 1 max (-1, 4) max (2, 1) min????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why am I not testing the numbers in betwen the boundaries? like 0, 1..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a straight line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
