Right Isosceles Triangle ABC has a hypotenuse of length h. Line segment DE is a midsegment with length 4x. What is the perimeter of triangle ABC? a. 16x+h b. 12x c. 8x+h d. 24x

|dw:1350955660138:dw| since 4x is the length of the midsegment, that bottom leg of the triangle is twice as long as the midsegment so the horizontal leg is 8x. since it is an isosceles triangle the other leg is exactly the same, so that leg is 8x. then you add up all the sides for the perimeter and you get 8x+8x+h, which is 16x+h. Make sense?
