not good with commas. would I need a comma in this sentence after "A prime example"? A prime example ridding my life of debt, and establish a feasible budget to ensure future success.

why would you put a comma after example? Unless "ridding my life of debt" is an appositive phrase. Note: An appositive phrase is a phrase that may be ommitted from the sentence, and the sentence will still make sense. Appositive phrases are used to add "flavor" into the sentence.
