#MOOC question : am I the only one not being in any group ? Are these groups really active ?

I am in a group, 3 have mailed me but up to now there is no activity.

I'm not in a group either, perhaps it would have been a good idea but there seems no way to alter my original choice.

My brother was also not assigned to any group — it seems it’s down to the choice you make when you were asked if you are more of a self-study or group-study type.

Aside from introductions, my group hasn't been too active so far. So I wouldn't be too worried

Yes, as long as you've received introductions from other members, hang in there with your group. Things will get tougher in the next few weeks, and you can expect more discussion.

Not much activity in the assigned study group. More activity here. You aren't missing much not being a study group

We suspect the groups will be more active a little deeper into the course, when the work gets a little harder.
