Please help, With respect to the experimental crosses Mendel made explain how Mendel insured that homozygous tall pea plants were pure breed. In other words, how did he insure that all his TT pea plants were indeed all TT and not some Tt?

OpenStudy (preetha):

He crossed them with themselves. If all the progeny exhibited the phenotype T, and no t were observed then the genotype was TT.

Thanks, but that's what I had said before and my teacher said it was wrong and to redo it.

I guess you would have to assume here since that didn't work, that maybe he had two separate gardens for tall and short and would weed out any that were shorter or taller till they all became one height. That's a guess, I hope it does some type of justice.
