Estimate the area of a square floor if each side is 10 feet 4 inches long. Use whole numbers PLEASE HELP

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

If you just need to estimate, then you can ignore the "4 inches" part and just calculate the area if each side is about 10 ft long

I took this problem upto.. length = 124 inches now area will be = length x length = 124 x 124 = 15376 sqinches

AND THEN I ROUND IT OFF

if you want answer in sqft then you can ignore 4 inches... then length would be = 10 feet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and area = length x length = 100 sqft
