how would I stetch the graph if it passes through (-4,5) and the zeros are 2+sqroot3 and 2-sqroot3 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I determine the equation? *

OpenStudy (oaktree):

OK. So, the zeroes of a quadratic function can be found from the factoring, so they are (x-r)(x-s) where r,s are the roots. So we need (x-2-sqrt(3))(x-2+sqrt(3)).

OpenStudy (oaktree):

That's the equation once you FOIL it.

OpenStudy (oaktree):

\[(x-2-\sqrt3)(x-2+\sqrt3)\]

OpenStudy (oaktree):

If that's any clearer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay, then I foil it?
