Y = ax + b The b is the y-intercept ( where the line crosses on the y-axis) A is the slope ( The rise over run)
on your diagram, one point is labelled (-4,-7),and you can see that the line crosses the y axis at -6, so that's another point, (0,-6).

With two points, you can find the slope like this: slope = m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) where (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are your two points. So here, you would set up m = (-6 - (-7)) / (0 - (-4) ) = 1 / 4 your slope = 1/4 and the line crosses the y axis at -6, so that's the y intercept, b. The form is y = mx + b, so in this case, it's y = (1/4)x - 6 using slope as (1/4) and y intercept as -6
