Each year Jody receives a gift from her aunt. The amount is always equal to Jody's age that year, plus the amount of the gift she received the previous year. Age= 1|2|3|4 Amount of Gift=1|3|6|10 How old will Jody be when she receives her first gift that is more than 100 dollars?

Thats what I got but is there an easier way or should i explain it to my teacher?

The amount is the set of triangular numbers.

All I did was take her age and multiply it by the money she earned the birthday before. For example age 3 multiply by the 3 dollars she earned giving her 6 dollars this bday
