I know that in this reaction that the last step will be hydrogenation with excess H2 (one of the red boxed reagents), but I don't know how to from the alkynide. Other than the hydrogenation, I know that the only other possible reagents to form alkynide are the red boxed ones, but I can't seem to correctly figure out which starting materials to use (besides the black boxed one). Can anyone help me?
