Divergent is when the series continues to infinity or -infinity, convergent is when it converges upon a certain number, for example: A divergent series: 10,20,30,40... etc... adding 10 each time. A convergent series: 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25... etc... It converges upon a number and will get closer and closer to it but never reach it.
