Solve the following equations for all solutions of x 3tan(x/2)+3=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rearranging gives tan(x/2)=-1, okay so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Radians or degrees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Radians

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks and what domain was given for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I & III

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pardon ? Do you mean between 1 and 3 radians is where x must be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Put x/2 = A and the equation becomes tan A = 0 and A is between .5 and 1.5 radianns

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K...thanks again. Midnight is enough math. GN
