5. Thirty men take 20 days to complete a job working 9 hrs a day. How many hours a day should 40 Men work to complete the job?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many hours is the job altogether?

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

You can use ratios. Do you know how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help on how to use the ratios

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Takes 30*20*9 = 5400 hours to do the job So now u want 40 * 20 * x = 5400

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

Define ratios in your own words first, so that I can see that you know what it means?

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

Do you know what ratios are?

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

I am trying to teach you, not just get excited and give out answers like most do so if you don't know the reply to what I ask, then simply tell me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Eg 30:20:9 and 40:20:w

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

Actually you don't need ratios. Do what estudier said above. That should work. Try it.

Calculus and estudier thank you
