so because these triangles are similar triangles you can writing the proportionalitie of sides what will be 

DH       DF             7        3x-2
--- = -----   so  --- = ------- than now cross multiple and will get
CG       CA             3         x+3

7*(x+3) =3*(3x-2)
7x +21 =9x -6
21 +6 =9x -7x
27 =2x

x= 27/2
