Writing 20 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im stuggling in my final paper to understand the paradigm that is required within. What is a paradigm, online resources are confusing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A paradigm is simply ... well this answer is gonna suck.. but Thun said it was a like.. revolution or a metamorphsis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess another way of looking at it is.. it is change in something that does not happen by chance.. there has to be a driving force that changes the situation...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im writing in APA format and my paper requires a three page paradigm on my subject.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so your ideas are changing from one idea to another.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kuhn basically said in his essay that a paradigm shift is to change ways of thinking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I assume the reading you have was influential in some way?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so to write a paradigm is to basically explain the changes you view from your research. I am writing a paper on the lack of social support for the children of the mentally ill and how social services can provide them a stablizing atmosphere.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see.. lol. sorry wrong setting of the word (I automatically assumed science). In your question.. a paradigm is simply your beliefs or a belief system.. and how they guide you to do things.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or how they guide the way a group of people do things.. such as setting up policies and a "standard" set of practices..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not sure how they want you to define those belief systems. In a philosophy class I had.. we had to define the system as one of interpretivism, or one of the ontology or methodology classes... etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I hope this helped.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It does, thanks.
