determine between which consecutive integers the real zeros of each function are located f(x) = 3x3 – 10x2 + 22x – 4

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what values do we get when x=0, and when x=1?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if the sign changes between two consecutive integers, then a zero must exists between those integers

I'm not even sure how to do this. It's confusing.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you try a value for x and get a solution; then you try another value for x and get its solution; then you compare the solutions; if they have different signs, then someplace between the them the equation has to cross over; and the place it crosses over is a zero

Basically you are trying to find out which numbers can give u a negative and positive number cosecutively. so try plugging in -1 and find out what you get and you should get a positive answer and then zero and it will give u a negative answer which makes -1 and 0 your answers.
