For the second one, two questions to ask yourself: 1) is the parabola open up or down: what does that mean with regards to the signs on the squared term? This cuts it down to 2 of the possible answers. 2) You can either plug in x=-3 to the remaining 2 to see which is right or you can factor one to see if the "zeros' match the graphs.

For the first one, the width of the area is: W = x+ 7 +x = 7+2x and the height is H = x+6+x = 6+2x Area = (W)(H) = (7+2x)(6+2x) FOIL this product and compare to choose.

im going to say the second 1 is d

\[x^2 -6x+8\] at x=-3 is 9+18+8= 35. Is the point (-3,35) on the graph?

yes
