Square2x-3=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{2x-3}=5\]

OpenStudy (epikrebel):

You start by taking away the square root which means you have to square on both sides.

OpenStudy (epikrebel):

It should look like this \[2x-3=5^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=14

OpenStudy (epikrebel):

2x-3=25 2x-3(+3)=25(+3) 2x=28 \[\frac{ 2x }{ 2 } = \frac{ 28 }{ 2 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=14
