A spinner is divided into 8 equal segments. The segments are labeled with the letters A, B, E, I, L, O, T, U. Match each compound event with its probability. Round to the nearest percent, if necessary. a. 16% b. 5% c. 14% d. 39% P ( vowel and vowel) P ( consonant and T) P ( consonant and consonant) P ( letter before D and a letter after H)

@mukushla @AccessDenied @tkhunny @aroub @dpaInc can you guys help me out with this?

@JakeV8 can you able to help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Probability of vowel and vowel should be the probability of getting one vowel times the probability of getting one vowel -- both spins are independent. there are 5 vowels and 8 spots, so on any given spin, you have a 5/8 chance of getting a vowel.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so P (vowel and vowel) = P(vowel) * P(vowel) = (5/8) * (5/8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Work through the other probabilities the same way... get the individual chance of each event occurring, then multiply the individual probabilities to get the compound probability.

OpenStudy (faman39):

thank u so much @JakeV8 ! :)

Glad to help :)
