Sine and Cosine Ratios?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1351201608050:dw|

OpenStudy (aroub):

sine= opposite/hypotenuse cosine= adjacent/hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin B =2/5 now find angle B first theN you will get cos B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle B= sin^-1(2/5)=23.578 degrees now cos B=BC/5 therefore BC=5 cos B BC=5 cos23.578 BC=4.58 ans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what is that to the nearest degree?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B=23.6 degree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is angle B, forget BC i thought you are trying to get it too ...lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea I have a table of trigonometric ratios to get the nearest degree but I dont know how to read it.
