The most common formulas used to get the answer is force=mass times acceleration and friction force= coefficient of friction times normal force. The problem is: A .05 kg mass is tied to an identical mass hanging from a cord over a pulley. If the coefficient of friction for the table-block combination is 0.0, what is the acceleration?
