how to solve 47=( -8g) + 7 using inverse operations

OpenStudy (anonymous):
to get rid of the 7 on the right side you have to subtract 7 from both sides giving you 40=-8g then to undo the multiplication of -8 you have to divide both sides by -8 giving you g=-5
