During the period of 1763-1775, John Adams states that the Revolution ‘was in the minds and hearts of the people.’, even before the war commenced, a statement that many would agree upon. Political, Social and, Economic changes led to the Revolution that had already commenced in the minds of the people. Politically, British Parliament passed laws and acts that would help the revenue, and their economic status, socially leading colonist to revolt against British authority. Economically, with the laws in action colonist were at a great disadvantage, not having the class status to afford the imports and exports that the British had applied taxes on. Parliament passed laws and acts that were claimed as unconstitutional by colonists, having part in the reason for Committee gatherings, which were not allowed, and would bring new ideas to help the economic status of the colonists. Although others might have a different perspective, saying that the British were only taxing the colonists in order to pay war debt so that colonies could have an economy, and have a military that will be well prepared in case of attack. Even though opinion varied in social groups about the mind-set of the colonists, it would gradually lead up to the American Revolution.
