What is AAA Similarity Postulate?-and how is proving it?

OpenStudy (epikrebel):

AAA stands for Angle-Angle-Angle which means if you have the same angles for two different triangles you know that they are congruent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ not congruent @EpikRebel , similar.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's enough to show that there are two pairs of congruent corresponding angles to prove AAA similarity.

OpenStudy (epikrebel):

It was either one. I didn't really like geometry so the two column proof was a pain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No two-column proof needed here, just definitions and maybe the interior angles theorem.

OpenStudy (epikrebel):

Yes but i couldn't remember the theorem or postulates for the two column proof.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would depend on the given information. @Jezrielanides , understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but If i have a problem regarding in this Similarity Between triangles, can you teach me ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perhaps. If your understanding of the fundamentals is strong enough.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sides of a triangle are 8, 15 and 18. The shortest side of a similar triangle is 10. How long are the other sides? thi question, Im confused. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is just a problem of the Similarity of Triangels Sir, can u answer this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In similar figures, corresponding sides are in the same ratio.
