help? :) best answer! Classify triangle BCD based on side lengths. A. scalene B. isosceles C. equilateral D. right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

scalene. all sides are different lengths

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i was right, it is scalene for sure right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. because a triangle with all different sides is a scalene triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait..no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to consider that 3 is only part of that one side. if you look, the other part of that one side (side BD) has another part in it which we can see is 5 (because it is marked the same as another side labeled 5) so that side (bd) is 5+3=8. so the triangle is actually isoscles. sorry for the confusion...looks like the problem tricked both of us

lol, thankyou!
